Posboai started with a simple frustration shared across kitchens and cold rooms: the tools that were supposed to bring food businesses online were quietly taking a third of every order, and treating hard-won customers as their own. We thought Australian operators deserved better than renting access to the people who already love them.

We spent our early days alongside restaurants, cafes, and produce wholesalers, watching the same problems repeat — separate systems for retail and trade, menus that never matched the kitchen, and spreadsheets holding the whole operation together. The software they needed didn’t exist, so we set out to build it.

Posboai brings online ordering, wholesale and retail pricing, multi-branch inventory, and analytics into a single platform that businesses run on their own branded storefront. Fresh2chef, a Melbourne fresh-produce wholesaler, became our first tenant — and the model has since grown to serve food businesses of every shape.

We are still a small, focused team that ships quickly and answers the phone. Every feature we build comes from a real operator’s real problem — and that is exactly how we intend to keep building.
